Dear Sir,
Our property, a 15th century Turkish bath, is situated near the Greek Patrimony, in the Ayakapi suburb of the Fatih region in Istanbul. The Hammam was constructed by Kara Mustafa Pasha during the Mohamed the Conqueror’s reign in 1477. Kara Mustafa Pasha was later executed in 1483 by Abdulhamid I, as he favored Cem Sultan during the dispute between two brothers on succeeding Mohammed the Conqueror.
Covering an area of 1,900 m2, the hammam possesses two divisions, one for men (selamlik) and the other for women (haremlik). Both divisions include the traditional Turkish bath architectural features: cool room, dressing area, warm room and hot room. A single dome covers the cool room/dressing areas. The warm area, which also includes the toilets, sits on a rectangular area. The hot areas, which include original marble basins and the central massage slabs, are also covered by a dome.
This marvelous medieval Turkish bath is a great property for possible tourism projects such as restaurant, museum center of culture, welness&SPA center, exihibition center, hotel and other entertainment facilities. We will seriously consider purchase from international investors and foundations.
Sincerely
